Every sheet at Casalin comes from a family mill in the Minho, in the far north of Portugal. They have woven linen there since 1926, on looms that are older than our building.
Why linen
Linen breathes in summer and holds warmth in winter. It also gets softer every time it is washed, which means the sheets in your room are better today than the day we bought them.
How we care for it
Washed cool, never bleached
Line-dried on the roof when the weather allows
Ironed by hand, pillowcases twice
If you want to take some home, the mill sells directly — ask Léa for the address.
